A St. Cloud gentleman, Daniel Joseph McNinch, age 48, has pleaded guilty to very first diploma drug gross sales for a raid that happened at an Onamia home earlier in the calendar year.

According to the legal complaint:

Investigators with the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Undertaking Power discovered that McNinch was distributing methamphetamine in the central Minnesota area and routinely providing meth from his St. Cloud home. 

On Jan. 21, 2021, investigators executed an undercover purchase of 30.7 grams of methamphetamine from McNinch in Stearns County. As the scenario progressed, investigators discovered that McNinch was storing and most likely marketing methamphetamine from a secondary home he owned on 100th Ave. in Onamia. Investigative resources discovered that he manufactured recurrent trips involving his two residences and transported the medicine involving the two locations as nicely.  

On February 2, 2021, investigators executed an additional controlled purchase of 57.2 grams of methamphetamine from McNinch, and yet again as part of the investigation, officers procured a different 57.3 grams of the drug.  

As the surveillance procedure ongoing, it became crystal clear that McNinch was obtaining wholesale portions of methamphetamine through the mail and that it was not uncommon for McNinch to have a number of kilos of the drug in his possession at possibly residence or whichever vehicle he was working with at the time.  

In late March of 2021, investigators figured out there was a package deal sure for McNicnh’s Onamia residence that contained 1,559.2 grams of methamphetamine. And on March 29, investigators, assisted by the Mille Lacs County SWAT workforce, executed a search warrant at the defendant’s Onamia home. Officers found a variety of amounts of methamphetamine, surveillance machines, packaging elements, various mobile phones, scales, tracking facts for additional postal offers, ammunition, and $10,516.00 in income at the Onamia residence. 

Hidden in a plow truck on the residence was a 1911 .45 caliber handgun with two loaded magazines and a Winchester model 94. Within an additional automobile, officers discovered a stolen .45 caliber handgun alongside with a bag of ammunition.  

In whole, investigators recovered 1,468.1 grams of methamphetamine during the operations. 

McNinch has prior convictions for simple robbery in Ottertail County and possession and firearms/ammunition violations in Stearns County, along with pending offenses for drug possession and third degree burglary in Benton County.  

Sentencing will take location on Oct. 4.
